Обращение Киерана Киддера к лифтерам APF/WPC

The Arnold Sports Festival Committee decided that for 2008 they wanted a
drug tested Powerlifting Organization to represent them. This was done
only to protect Arnold's image, not anything Myself/WPO did wrong. There
has been a lot of negative controversy lately about non- tested events at
the Arnold Classic. We proposed allowing the AAPF to be considered since
our testing is legitimate and bans a lifter for life if tested positive.
No chance after chance to continue to deceive the people. The Committee
however, has chosen the USAPL due to the fact that the IPF has been around
longer.

This has disappointed me to no end — but isn't the end for the WPO. More
will follow on that and future dates and locations of meets in a few days.

I am also saddened by the decision of Louie Simmons posting that Westside
Barbell is done with the APF/WPC and WPO. We will miss him.

I want the lifters to know that in no way does the WPO not participating
in the Arnold Classic have any impact on the APF. The APF and WPC are
separate from WPO. The bottom line is there's more members, more State
Chairman,more State/Regional meets,bigger National meets, in the AAPF/APF
than ever before. So there's is absolutely no reason to panic whatsoever.
Keep in mind that listening to forum gossip is not always going to give
you the real story. The forums have got way out of control,so please stop
this panic stricken mayhem based on solely on forum info. It's totally
ridiculous.

The APF and AAPF have a full schedule of events this year and we are
working on finalizing the National meets for 2008. This years WPC Worlds
promises to be very exciting, held in the beautiful city of Togliatti,
Russia. Yuri Yustinov is expecting over 600 lifters at WPC Worlds,and 500
lifters in the WPC European Cup this Summer.The AWPC Worlds will be held
minutes away from the wonderful Windy City, Chicago. More details on these
meets and others are posted on the WPC web site. Again there's nothing to
worry about.

Спортивный комитет фестиваля «Арнольд Классик» решил , что в 2008 году Пауэрлифтинг на фестивале будет представлять федерация с допинг-контролем (USAPL). Это было сделано для защиты чести фестиваля, моей вины или вины WPO в этом нет. Это связано с большим количеством слухов вокруг атлетов, не проходивших допинг-контроль. Мы предложили AAPF полагаться на нашу честность. Но они выбрали USAPL, так как это отделение IPF, с хорошо зарекомендовавшим себя постоянным допинг-контролем.

Это разочаровало меня – но это не конец , это не конец WPO. В ближайшие дни мы обьявим даты и места проведения будущих соревнований.

Также я опечален решением Луи Симмонса уйти от нас. Мы будем тосковать без него.

Я хочу , что бы лифтеры знали- неучастие WPO в «Арнольд Классике» ничего не значит для APF\WPC. APF и WPC федерации отдельные от WPO. Главное-это больше участников, больше региональных соревнований. Таким образом , нет причин для паники. Не поддавайтесь провокациям , которые проводятся на различных форумах. Все эти сплетни – они просто смешны.

APF и AAPF уже имеют календари соревнований на этот год , также заканчивается планирование соревнований на 2008 год. В этом году Чемпионат Мира WPC пройдет в России, в прекрасном городе Тольятти. Русское руководство WPC ожидает приезда более 600 лифтеров на Чемпионат Мира, и около 500 лифтеров на Кубок Европы WPC , который пройдет этим летом. Чемпионат Мира AWPC пройдет в удивительном городе, Чикаго, Городе Ветров. Детали будут опубликованы на официальном веб-сайте WPC.
